GB WhatsApp for PC: Web, screen mirroring or an emulator?

To use messaging on a PC without an emulator, choose WhatsApp Web for an official account or mirror the GB app already running on your Android phone. To install a GB APK on the computer itself, you need a compatible Android emulator. Installing the APK and successfully logging in are separate steps; an emulator cannot guarantee that a modified client will be accepted.
Choose the method that fits your goal

Option 1: use a PC without an emulator
For ordinary messages, open web.whatsapp.com or install the official WhatsApp desktop app. On the main phone, open WhatsApp → Linked devices → Link a device, then scan the QR code. Use phone-number pairing only if that option appears.
This links an account; it does not convert the web app into GB WhatsApp. GB-only settings remain in the modified Android app. If you are trying to link from GB and the session keeps failing, compare with an official account before assuming the PC is the cause.
A linked desktop session is not a backup of your entire chat history. Keep access to the main phone and check the service’s current linked-device requirements.
Option 2: mirror the GB app on your phone
Mirroring is useful when GB already works on the phone and you mainly want a larger screen or keyboard. It avoids a second app registration and leaves the chat database on the phone.
- Choose a tool that supports your devices. scrcpy supports Android screen mirroring; Windows Phone Link offers screen or app access on supported phones.
- Follow the tool’s setup instructions. For a USB debugging connection, approve only your own computer on the phone.
- Open GB on the phone and check whether keyboard and mouse control work in the mirrored window.
- When finished, disconnect and revoke debugging access on shared computers.
Mirroring needs the phone to stay available. It does not solve a GB login error, repair a ban or move your chats onto the PC.
Option 3: install the APK inside an Android emulator
An emulator such as BlueStacks runs an Android environment on the computer. Check its current operating-system and hardware requirements on the developer’s site; Windows and Mac support vary between emulator products.
- Install the emulator from its developer’s site and finish the Android setup.
- Review the APK download information and the Android installation guide. Use the emulator’s APK install function to select a compatible file.
- Open the app. If you choose direct registration, remember that registering the same number as a new primary installation can affect your existing session.
- If the build offers companion linking, use the link device steps. If it asks for the official app, do not treat another emulator as a guaranteed fix.
- Test access to the conversations and media you need before retiring the phone setup.
An APK that installs but cannot sign in is a different problem from an emulator that will not start. For the latter, check virtualization, available storage and the emulator’s own support guide. For the former, record the app’s exact message.
Moving chats and keeping a fallback
Copying files into an emulator is not enough by itself to guarantee a restore. The app must recognise the backup format, location and account. Keep the original phone and a separate copy of its backup until you have checked recent messages and media. Read updating without deleting the existing installation before making changes.

Can I use GB WhatsApp on PC without BlueStacks?
Yes, screen mirroring can display the existing GB app on your Android phone. Official WhatsApp Web is another option for ordinary messaging with an official account. Neither installs a native GB app on Windows.
Is there a GB WhatsApp EXE for Windows?
GB WhatsApp is distributed as an Android APK. A Windows installer with the GB name may bundle an emulator or unrelated software; do not treat it as an official desktop release.
Will GB themes appear in WhatsApp Web?
GB-specific themes and controls belong to the Android app. The official web interface does not inherit those modifications. Use screen mirroring if you need to see the phone’s interface.
Why does the emulator install GB but fail to link?
Android installation and WhatsApp account acceptance are separate. A network, session or mod compatibility problem can still prevent linking after a successful install.
Can I use the same phone number on the computer?
